Shipping

We offer free standard shipping via USPS and UPS within the USA. We do not ship outside of the US, or offer expedited shipping. Once your order is placed, if you need to make a change, please email us (info@chunksofenergy.com) or call us and we will do our best, but cannot guarantee that we can cancel or adjust the order. We usually ship on Wednesday or Thursdays, and then it takes 2-8 business days to arrive. Reasons for potential delays include: unforeseen ingredient shortages, unforeseen staff shortages, holidays, inclement weather. If you’d like to check to see if we expect delays, please reach out before you place your order. Or, if this timeline is too slow, reach out and we can direct you to online retailers that sell Chunks of Energy and ship more quickly (but less economically).

Order Tracking

 

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number to track your order via UPS or USPS. Once you receive your tracking number, please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking portal to update.

 

>Lost or Damaged Packages

We do our best to make sure packages arrive in good shape to their destination, but are not responsible if the product gets lost or damaged en route. If this happens, please do reach out and let us know so we can help you file a claim. We will help, but are not responsible for issues in transit, in particular if there is a typo in the address! If you believe you’ve made a mistake when placing your order, reach out as soon as possible and we’ll try our best to help you out before the label is made and the product leaves our facility.

Return and Exchanges

We guarantee product quality. If you received an item that doesn’t meet your standards, please reach out and we will refund or replace the product. We maintain constant contact with our production facility and distributor to be on top of any changes to our manufacturing process that may change ingredients, texture or color. We guarantee your satisfaction.

Why do you only sell 10lb boxes of Chunks of Energy?

​

We're often asked if we sell in smaller quantities. We offer 10 pound cases because it saves you money, and it is a wiser use of resources -- less packaging, yay! If 10 pounds seems like a lot, but you want those savings, we encourage you to share with another household, or consider freezing the product. It freezes really well as long as it's stored in an airtight container. Just make sure you thaw before you dig in!

Why do I see a warning on the label of some of your products?

​

California Proposition 65 requires a warning for any product that contains any of the 800+ compounds on a list they determined to be dangerous to human health. The standard set by California is significantly more strict than the standard established by the FDA and the WHO. There is no distinction made between compounds naturally occurring (as is the case with our ingredients) and added compounds. Though we are confident about the safety of our products, it is also important to us to be compliant with public health authorities, and this includes California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.

What products or ingredients that you sell are affected by Proposition 65?

​

- all cacao powder contains naturally occurring lead and cadmium. 
- all maca powder contains naturally occurring lead

Are your products safe?

​

Yes. We observe strict standards through the course of our ingredient procurement and manufacturing. We have regular monitoring to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification with a licensed 3rd party in order to be compliant with local, state and federal standards. Additionally, we opt to be participate with the extremely rigorous Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.

Are Chunks of Energy raw?

 

In each product description it is noted if the particular flavour is raw. If the product is not completely raw, it still includes about 80% raw ingredients -none of the nuts or seeds we use are cooked.
 

What is in your 'natural flavors'?

 

We can’t give away all of our secrets! But, rest assured, none of our natural flavours contain any major food allergens or MSG.

What is the best way to store Chunks of Energy to maximize freshness?

 

Chunks of Energy will be freshest and will last the longest if you store them in a tightly sealed container or bag. The raw flavors, which are date-based, are most sensitive to heat and dryness. Overall, we recommend you eat your Chunks of Energy fresh, within 3 weeks, or within two months if you keep them in the fridge.
